Champions of Galileo have long demonstrated the ability to move the project ahead programmatically and technically even as their political masters milled around one temporary policy roadblock or another.

The GNSS world of the future will offer greater accuracy, greater availability, greater robustness -- but a world with Galileo in it would make these things happen faster and with greater scope and depth.

Galileo would also bring new, distinctive features to build out markets larger than could GPS alone.
